First Steps Being Taken

The time for mere talking is over, and at long last, we have started to take concrete steps toward establishing curling in the St. Louis metro area. Since our last blog post, we have done the following:

Elected a Board of Directors

Crafted bylaws

Submitted an application for incorporation to the state of Missouri

Our next big task is to raise money for stones, brooms, and other equipment. If you have ideas for, or experience with, successful fundraisers, leave a comment here or on our Facebook page.

We have two directors that are looking for people to join their committees. They are as follows:

The fundraising committee will lead the effort to help us raise money by proposing, planning, and conducting fundraisers. Anyone interested in this committee can contact Rob at fossil.hunter [at] hotmail.com.

The hospitality/merchandise committee will design, shop for, purchase, and sell merchandise. Anyone interested in this committee can contact MJ at marnold [at] brownshoe.com.
